Uphill

Alternative name: Climb
Category: Basics, Uphill
Difficulty: Level 1 (of 4)

The ride uphill is exhausting. The correct weight distribution on the bike and an even pedal make the way uphill easier.

The rear tire needs sufficient traction and must not slip when pedaling, so the weight should not be shifted too far forward. The buttocks slide far forward on the saddle so that pressure can still be exerted on the rear wheel via the saddle tip. The shoulders are above the bar and the elbows are close to the body. This prevents the front wheel from lifting off.
